Aloha: To Love is To Be Happy With

Write some of your initial thoughts here:

If you are anything like me, your reaction was “huh?”. At first this statement doesn’t seem to make any sense. What does love have to do with happiness, and visa versa. As it turns out it has “everything” to do with it. When you are in Love, all is well in the universe. Everything is beautiful, and people are nice, and all you notice is the beauty in the world. When you are unhappy the world is terrible. You can validate your misery simply by looking at your environment. Can it be that our thoughts have this much power? Yes. Yes they do.

Happiness is a choice. If you don’t believe me, try it on for yourself. Try for one week to choose to be happy no matter what. No easy task if you have been habituated in the victim paradigm. Sometimes we are unhappy because we are either not feeling excitement or stimulation, or you are stuck in the habit of pessimism and/or a whoa-fully desperate outlook on life. Sometimes it is because we feel like we are lacking of something. Happiness is not something to acquire. You can’t buy it, trade it, order it online, or steal it from others. You can only choose to “be” happy. When you do, the universe provides validation. Just like it provides plenty of evidence to justify being unhappy.

What are you happy about?

Make the conscious choice to be happy. Intentionally look for things that make you smile. If you can’t find anything fake it. Smile anyway. See what happens. You will be amazed at what thoughts are generated when you smile.

5. ALOHA A. Experience pleasure. B. Experience happiness (passion, excitement, enthusiasm, contentment, etc.) C. Experience blessing (compliments, praise, gratitude, appreciation). D. Experience beauty.

One simple exercise I learned from Tony Robbins is priming.

Your state will determine your present, and your present will determine your future.

Start with a simple breathe of fire exercise (quick in and out breaths through the nose down to the diaphragm), 30 breaths, 3 times. Then think of 3 things you are grateful for. Then think of 3 things you want to accomplish today. That’s it! Do it every day and see what happens. Try it on.

In Huna this is considered building mana (life force energy). When you build it, you can then direct it. You can send it where you want ie. your body, your future, or anywhere in your reality. Typically you would send it to your lower self to send to your higher-self. Then this gift would “rain down” upon your life.

Considerations: If you are searching for something it is because you believe you are lacking something. If you don’t know what you are looking for it is because you don’t know what you are lacking. This is a particular sinister mindset because it cycles through an endless loop. You seek, you find, you are happy, it doesn’t quite feel right, you question and doubt, you feel lack, you seek, you find, and so on. Break the cycle and stop looking. Besides, how many times did you look for you keys only to come across the last thing you were looking for? If you are looking for you keys, look for something else. As long as you keep saying, “I can’t find my keys”, you won’t find your keys.

The power of your thoughts.

Do not underestimate the power of your own thoughts. They literally create your reality. I know this is a bold statement. Sometimes I thin it down to “your thoughts affect what you perceive about your reality”, or “your thoughts shape your reality”. I’m done with watering down the concept of “your thoughts create your reality”. Let’s explore: If we dilute the concept, we get ourselves off the hook for what occurs in our realities. If we do anything but own our shit, we are playing into the victim paradigm. I don’t know about you but I am done with that. I am done blaming. I am done felling helpless and hopeless. I. AM. DONE!

Take charge of your life.

Be mindful of your thoughts (if they are in-fact “yours”…. there you go)

This is your adventure. This is your life. This is your creation. You. You are the center of it all!
